Driving a Smart car like riding a Motorcycle?
Heard on the radio the other day that owners of Smart cars are complaining that sometimes they don't trigger the electromagnetic trip wire in left turn lanes.
I guess Smarts are largely made of plastics and aluminum, and therefore like a motorcycle would sometimes sit at a signal waiting for a green arrow until cobwebs are attaching them to the pavement. Only they can't move as fast after running the red.
Has anyone else heard of this or is it a new urban legend?

It was evidently reported in the Rosemond News. Rosemond is in the Mojave Desert near Willow Springs Raceway. A man named Samuel Wattles owns the Smart car that has experienced this problem.
Yeah, I think its great.
