2011 stocks?
anyone do stocks here? me and the wife figure NOW would be the time do buy some stocks hoping a market return. i was kinda looking at Sirius xm (SIRI). not a crazy expensive or high return stock, but i figure some gain may be had. currently at $1.93. past 5yr high was around $5. thoughts? any other stocks to looks at?

Sirius seems okay, but the only way you gain a profit on it is when it rises. You can also find some stocks that have great dividends at low prices. That is what I did and I am doing okay. I picked stocks that have a dividend of 8% - 16% on them. Real Estate Investment Trusts are doing okay and they give back dividends of 12% - 16%.
The market is up and down so just put the money in and hold on.

Get a package from Vanguard. Low rates on trades, etc.
Might want to look at 'Exchange Traded Funds'. That way you don't have to gamble on individual stocks, someone else does all the homework for you and you are just betting on a market segment, (or a whole market if you like).
Once again, contact Vanguard, Suze Orman recommends them and the info package is free.
