VTR of the Month June 2011-Winner mikstr
Congratulations to mikstr for winning the June VTROTM!
https://www.superhawkforum.com/forum...31/#post304488
Kind of fitting on this Canada day
Sorry it only lets me put up little pics for some reason......
Also I could use a little help with figuring out how to close the poll and why I can't change the title of the thread to show the winner....
A BIG thanks to everybody who participated in June's VTROTM, If you did not win, be sure to get your nomination in again this month for your chance at SHF fame and glory!

Jeez mikstr, thanks for knocking the rest of us out of the running. I was gonna enter my bike next week after i get my sharkskinz lower put on, but now i have the overwhelming desire to vote for your bike over mine.
#4
Sorry, not trying to be a dick......I told myself I would not enter until my bike was "done", and now, for all practical purposes, it is (although I will be adding Proton signals and possibly (lighter) Apex riser clip-ons in the near future).
FWIW, this is but the first in a (hopefully) long string of competitions....
BTW, big thanks to Mike for taking the reigns of this thing.... kudos brother!
Love this site, great bunch of decent, helpful and passionate folks.......

no reason to be sorry, it was a complement. Your bike is AWESOME.

I was thinking the same thing... I only have a couple little things to finish up, but may wait till next month to take some good pics

Thanks for noticing, lol Actually, I have tried to fix that (the stock seat was "flusher") but eventually gave up. In the end, I chose comfort (Sargent) over aesthetics (OEM upholstered park bench).....
#19
Mikstr- I'm not sure how much the undercarriage has room to play with on your bike, but I was dealing with the flush issue on my bike and ended up putting some pretty generous spacers in between the tail plastics and sub-frame to bring it up to match the cowl. Like I said, not too sure how this would work with your seat, plastics, etc, but it may be something to look into!
#20
Thanks for the suggestion
FWIW, while I do like to have my toys looks decent (and somewhat unique), I am not obsessed with the aesthetics, prefering to put my energy in proper maintenance and performance improvement. Truth be told, I hate having to wash and shine but realize it`s somewhat of a necessary evil for longevity`s sake.....

mikstr, I've run my Sargent with the cowl installed since I got the seat 3 years ago, and mine sits flush. You must have gotten the "heavy passenger" model.
Having said that, I think what we need now is a VTRWTLML contest (VTR with the longest mods list). Although that one would probably just be between you and Tweety.

You know, I'm such a nice guy that I will let you trade me your Ohlins shock for my rear cowl. What do you think?
And gentlemen (and ladies??) you heard it straight from Mikstr . . . my shock is one-off and high-tech. So vote for me.
