How could you go 5 years w/out riding it

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NOS-2004-Honda-RC51-SP2-RVT1000R-Nicky-Hayden-Superbike_W0QQitemZ140330744386QQcmdZViewItemQQptZ US_motorcycles?hash=item20ac5d3a42&_trksid=p4506.c 0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A12|39%3A1|72%3A317

I could see having it in a remote garage but to sit in your garage without riding it? Not to mention the price. I couldn't do it.

omg he went to all the trouble to put it in his garage temp controlled, drain the fluids and garage queen this bike and then he rolled it outside with out any plastic on the ground. now the tires are freaking dirty. and to think i wanted it till i saw that. it is no longer in floor room condition and me trailering it home from his garage to mine has now ruined the nicky haden fantasy. thats going to cost him at least 11k in my bid now. hahahaahahaahahahaahahahahahah

The guy is obviously out of touch with reality.
But hey, hes in hollywood...
The land of fantasy and the area of the planet where theres a twist in the fabric of space and time.
Its about as bad as that black superhawk with the hideous flame paint job that was all pimped out with crap accessories like LED tire valve stem caps that wanted $7000.

I wouldn't trust a engine that has been sitting with no fluids for the last 5+ years, never started/run for 5 years. Inside of tank/engine could be pristine, it could be all rusty, no way to know unless you disassemble the whole thing.

I wouldn't pay moar than $5k for it.

Maybe I'm out of touch with reality, but if I had the money I would buy it.

He should have sold this in 2006.. or middle of 2007. Nicky is good but its almost like a B rider on that Duke. 800CC was not a good thing for him. I want to know what this bike goes for. I wouldnt last more than the 20 seconds it takes to get my helmet and gloves on to ride that bike.. its definatley clean...

he looks like a harley rider. Why did he buy it in the first place?

So he thinks "I will buy it, and have some parts signed and in 5 yrs it will be worth one million dollars. (pinky to lip)." sucka!

Uhh, thats probably a major variable in his selling, lol.
In this economy, people are dumping all the fluff they dont absolutely need. Even Im selling off some of my antique cars.
i bet this guy ends up taking less than 8 grand for it in the end.

Duhamel signed the tank on my CBR1000RR. How much do you think I could sell it for?

It was pretty funny. All the guys were waiting in line for autographs after his double win at VIR back in.....2005? I went and got the bike and got in line! Who needs a poster when you got a bike and a sharpie!

L8RGYZ is an unknown quantity at this point
I don't get it. I understand letting a bike sit in a place like the Barber Museum. Otherwise a bike is useless unless you ride it.

Nice bike though. Needs a couple scratches to personalize it though!
