The "good deals" will come later in the fall and early winter. Mothball your cash and watch the forums like a hawk because you won't have but about one chance to pull the trigger. When they come up (and they are rare - 2 or 3 per year) you won't have time to save up for the purchase. Somebody with cash saved/stashed will be all over it!

I'd been thinking about putting up a thread like this for a while. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Most of us just watch the classifieds like a hawk. Ohlins or Penske wouldn't ever do a group buy... would they? I wonder what the savings would be like if they did..

Some of the guys have reported good deals at trackdays from the manuf. reps. I guess there's no way to tell which tracks these guys are going to be at or when but I would bet the tracks nearer the bigger cities might be a target. I rode VFR's with a guy who got his that way - about 40% off list - brand new. There's also the increasing problem of parts availability for the Superhawk. Nobody gives much of deal on "vintage" parts because they are considered a premium to begin with. Just my .02
