If you need to buy them, the part number of #45 is; 99103-MT2-0450. The part number for #48 is 99103-MT2-0480. The jet size is in the last four digits. This is the easiet way to find a part number for a jet. JB

Well you can get them just about anywhere you get bike parts. This is the kind you need, Series 21 pilots and the look like this....

thanks gents.

I found this posting on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/New-N...Q5fAccessories

when I did a part number search on Ron Ayers, it lead me to a page for the XR400. When scrolling down the page (http://fiche.ronayers.com/Index.cfm/...oup/CARBURETOR), they have two different listing for a #48 slow jet for the bike (scroll down to number 31), with one listed for just shy of $20, the other for just over $7. What gives? Perhaps the proper question should be is there a reason I could NOT use the $7 option instead of the other?

I've never paid more than $5 for one so even $7 is a bit steep but $20 is ridiculous. Does a Honda tech come and put it in for you at that price???

Just trying to figure out what the difference is and why the two numbers with such a disparity in price?

I got mine at the local Honda shop here for $4.50 each! They are usually on hand anywhere you go.

Hey Mike,

I just ordered two of these:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...id=p2759.l1259

I assume they are the correct ones.

cheers

P.S. Curiously, they can ship both jets (which weight half an aounce at most and fit in the smallest of envelopes), literally across the world for only $5 yet most places in the US want $20 to ship it here.... go figure! Can you say "fu***n' opportunists"?

Keep us posted on your progress (new triples and all). My new ones are off getting anodized (for aesthetics and to protect them). Looking forward to getting them back so I have the forks fixed (the right post is leaking again, this despite new seals and bushings... thir set of seals in less than two years.... &%/"!*?%.... beign replaced by new post altogether, should fix it once and for all)
