To be honest, $5500 is a lot to ask for. NOS Superhawks go for $5999.

You live in Playa Del Rey? I work there now.

Right on. Well, it's hard to say what ugprades are worth. Some buyers see it as increasing the value, and some see it as detracting from the value.

Not meant as a flame,, And to be completely honest. $5500 is way more then I would pay for a used SH. But that’s just me. New is only a few hundred more. In therory, what I'm thinking about when I look at a used bike. I have no idea how you have abused the motor and trans, how many hard landings you’ve made from 12 O’clock wheelies, how little you have changed the oil, what kind of crappy oil you have run, how was it broken in, will I need to do pistons and rings just to get the compression where it belongs, how lean you have run it from misguided jetting, intake, exhaust mods, now replaced with stock components. It’s all a big question on the mind of an informed buyer. Some of those questions you can mitigate with inspections, Q&A with the owner…But quite frankly,, you still never know how truthful the owner is being in his answers, or if he even knows the truth about how poorly he has cared for the bike. All that is accepted when buying used, and the price reflects those unknowns.

Please understand I am in no way saying or inferring any of the above negative things apply to you.. Just my opinion on what an informed buyer is thinking about when looking at your bike for sale, next to an ad for a NOS 2005 SH for $6k

Best of luck with your sale…Hope you get want you need for it.

There have been many a new old stock sold for about that amount,,, No, not in Los Angeles, but AL, and MO come to mind as states that have had shops selling 2003, 2004 SH new for $6k or so.

Well could be,, but I've bought and sold a lot of vehicles and that thought process has served me well.

Yeah, the cowl comes off and a seat goes in its place. It's nothing more than a 6X10 pad and I pity any woman that has to ride longer than 10 minutes on the bike.
