FOR SALE: THE BADDEST SUPERHAWK

Selling my baby. I've learned a lot from this forum lurking so I thought it was time to give back. I will offer the bike here for the first couple weeks - if no one buys I will list on eBay, Craigslist and locally. I want to give someone here who knows what this bike is to get a shot first (and give her a good home). Selling because our first baby is due in a couple weeks and I agreed to switch to dirt for safety's sake. 1998, 16K miles, clear title in hand. Located in Los Angeles on the west side.

Here are the mods:

Superbrace fork brace
LED signals all around
Custom pearl white paint
Gold painted CBR 954 wheels/brakes
Steel braided front line
Harris rearsets
HID high/low headlight (have original as well)
Brand new Pilot Power 2 rear (not even broken in - about 50 miles on it)
Pilot Power 2 front has about 60%
Custom yellow gages
R1 R/R mod, soldered
Blinker module replaced with electronic one to regulate turn signals
1 tooth down in the front
Zero Gravity smoke touring windshield (have original)
Devil carbon fiber high mount exhaust w/ bafflectomy (sweet)
Fox twin clicker shock
Racetech front springs
Undertail
Carbon fiber rear hugger
Clear Alternatives white LED rear brake light
Supergrips
VFR clipons
Frame sliders
All Honda decals removed
Brand new battery
Stompgrip tank pads

Probably some stuff I've forgotten but I'll update if I remember. With Honda service manual (including notes on what's been done to her). Never down or tracked - just canyons and tooling around town. I will ship - I know when you've found the bike you really want it sucks when someone won't ship. I have had great experiences with www.haulbikes.com. Email me first, let me know you're serious and know your stuff and I'll email you more hi-res pics. Then we can exchange phone numbers and you can check her out. Test ride (of course) with cash in hand and valid M1 license. I have sold and bought many bikes SO SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY! I will not deal with dreamers, tire kickers, hagglers or idiots. PRICE IS FIRM AT $4,000. Email me at contact@davidwaters.com

Looks familiar. Wasn't it for sale here a few months back by the previous owner? Awesome bike, nonetheless.

DavidEW,
First I apologize for hi-jacking your post, but can you tell me where I can get some of those custom yellow dials?

Chris.

you are a jerk!! I have had enough of people like you. You try to sell your bike as the best, and then you put a price like $4k on it. You are ruining it for our society. What do you think is going to happen?? Really, what? That's right, you are driving down the value of our bikes.

Really though, nice looking bike, but it makes mine valueless. I'm not mad, cause I am not selling.

Sorry, I will not part the bike. I know, it's sad that you put so much money into a bike and for the most part get so little back in resale but that's part of the game, right? I just don't want to sell this to some idiot squid who trashes it and doesn't realize what a gem it is. Not happy about selling it. Still having second thoughts.
The gages were like that when I bought the bike - looks like a fairly simple mod though. Do some googling and I'm sure someone makes a colored face (it's just the face not the lights). I just love the fact that:
1) Other riders have no clue what it is with all the decals removed. The sound of the big twin throws them off
2) Other riders have no idea of the power and corning of this bike - smug Ducati owner who doesn't know how to ride his $12,000 bike? Buh-by.

whoa someone is off their meds...

I think a 98 *loaded* with 16k miles is about right at $4k. I have a 99 that is in great shape and I probably couldn't get $3500 in this market if I wanted to sell. Good luck on selling. Great looking bike.

That's interesting because my personal experience is....

dirt = way more dangerous.

I have searched high and low online to try and find these yellow faces but no one seems to know who can supply them, that's why I asked you. Thanks for the reply anyway.

Nice bike indeed! Looks good from all angles. I like the rear flush mounts - they're flush and yet are very visible. Those big ol' can look great, too.

Devil Exhaust available

Alright, I'm not selling. Couldn't.
But I am going to sell the exhaust. Let me know if you're interested. Make me an offer. These are mint and no longer available in the US.
