FOR SALE: '01 Superhawk SLC, UT
Hey Guys,
Selling my '01 Hawk. Lets start with the good stuff, it has a clean title, it has less than 14,000 miles, it has brand new tires with less that 150 miles on them with balance beads so they never need to be rotated or balanced, it has brand new hand levers, brand new aftermarket grips as well as matching front and rear foot rests, it has a custom black and grey paint job, it has a brand new high intensity halogen headlight (makes it look like your riding in the day time even in the dead of night with a tinted visor), new bulbs in all 4 turn signals, a brand new seat, and a 5 piece underglow kit with remote control and a ridiculous amount of settings. It has been dropped once but most of the damage is just on one exhaust pipe.
Now the story, I bought my Superhawk last October and fell in love with it so I put every last penny I had fixing it up, getting brand new everything but sadly I didn't think to take apart the engine, so at the end of last years riding season my engine had a tick that I couldn't figure out. So I put my Hawk up for the winter and decided to get it taken care of in the spring. When I took it in it turns out that my crank shaft had cracked so it needs an engine rebuild and I already put all the money I had into it so I could not afford it. I have a complete parts list of what it needs but as of right now its in pieces.
I'm only asking $1,600.

Please tell me how you know you have a cracked crankshaft? I mean i've seen broken cranks on racebikes, I've seen spun crank bearings and rod bearings, even seen some broken rods, but I've never seen a cracked crank!
Were you stunting?
Were you stunting?
I wasn't stunting at all. I only owned the bike for 2 months when the ticking started so I'm assuming it must have been something that happened over time maybe from the previous owners riding style.
And the cracked crankshaft is just what the mechanic told me when they took it apart.
