Red tank for sale

SOLD to kstevenson. Thank you!

I have this extra red tank coming off a VTR Firestorm for sale. I finally got some time to post a few pics. The tank is almost in perfect conditions, with no dings or scratches. There are just a few spots on the lower edge were the paint is chipped. They are all shown in the pics. I'm asking $250 shipped to the lower 48 states. Please contact me through PM if you are interested. Thanks!

PRICE LOWERED $225 SHIPPED!

Is this the higher capacity European tank?

From the shape of it, it looks to be the 16L/4.2 Gallon one...

Honestly I'm not sure. How can I verify that?

Compare the shape to your own... The larger has a flatter top with more edgy flares over the knees... And a flat top around the filler... The smaller is rounder, has a "dimple" in front of the filler and then tapers down outside the dimple...

I can tell from the 3'rd pic... I'm 99.99% sure... Sorry...

Trust me... I have been looking for one for ages that didn't cost as much as my bike...

I created a 5.2 gal unit from the US 4.2 gal but got mine to mod years ago for $100 plus my time @ $0 & material total was about $300. For pics, PM me.

Well... Dunno why... Just got it in my head to have an "stock" one... I could just throw a VFR one on there... But that would mean I'd have to cut up my seat... And since I'm still salivating over a Sargent... Well...

One of theses day's I'll get around to it... I have so many other parts to tinker with...

The shape is identical to my original Superhawk tank, so I guess it holds 4.2G even if it's off a Firestorm. Do you guys know in which years the Firestorm was equipped with the larger capacity tank? If I remember correctly it was only on the '98 models.

97-00 was the smaller tank... It got a larger tank in 01 with a few other upgrades...

Damn! I'm not even the seller and I find that offer offensive. He did say the tank was like new, and proper shipping would be about $50 alone. I know, I shipped one out about a month ago.

Rydebye sold his on 9/10 for $75.00. It looked like it was in good condition. Although it was yellow. It's just an offer, the seller is not obligated.

You are correct, sir. In my futile effort to recover from looking like an idiot, his tank does appear to come with the cap and level sensor though.

A nice (original paint, no dings or scratches) red tank has always been worth around $250-300 on ebay. Unless you pick up a new one for $99 like me because the stupid dealer advertised it for a cbr1000 Hell they cost over $700 at a dealer and over $500 at ronayers...

I'm saving it until my bike is done I may swap it out and sell the other. The other is basically perfect too. It actually went out priority this morning.
