My best idea is to put your post in the correct forum. Hmmm, I think I'll do that right now!

alternatives...sharkskins makes a 1 piece fiberglass front fairing. bonus is that it doesn't have the useless thirdeye cut-out, it replaces both side front fairings and the headlight fairing. its way cheaper than buying all front fairings at a dealer, but it doesn't come painted. oh and its not stock... but chances are since your hanging around here on the forum that last part shouldn't bother you. as for a tail piece, good luck. I'm still waiting to jump on one...

From a cost/useability standpoint, you could just buy a full set of race bodywork & have it painted. Repairing stock plastic then painting it will cost you more & not look quite right. You would have to cut out the headlight at some point. Otherwise its fleabay, but you are competing with the millions of squids who bought a sportbike, crashed it & now have the woes that go along with it. Go on some racing forums & you can get good deals

Go down to the dealer, hand over your wallet and take it like a prison inmate.

Anybody using their "race tail" with a stock seat?
And, how well does the street upper fit? Is it a direct bolt-on?

Things may have changed since my wreck in '07 wiped out everything on the front of my bike. After looking at all the aftermarket alternatives, shopping ebay, checking with professional bike painters - the cheapest easiest out-of-the box fix was new factory plastic.

I ordered my entire front set from Service Honda and did the whole set including freight for under $500 - brand new from the factory.

bought my hawk two years ago from a guy who hit a deer on it. got new stuff from ebay for a couple hundred. saved the middle upper and made subsequent repairs with superglue, seems to be very effective on the abs or whatever. you could do a fighter or adapt another fairing if you can get it cheaper. I had real good luck on ebay this time of year. got my late style instrument pod for less than $50 buying it on christmas day. santa must have been done with the hawk parts already! if you buy a full set from hong kong I'd be very curious if you ever really get it. let us all know! I rode mine a bit with the headlight zipped on and no other plastic. damn it feels good to be a gangsta
