Penske Racing shock for sale
This precision-engineered 8983 Series shock with remote reservoir is vastly superior to stock unit, with adjustable ride height, spring preload, rebound (35 clicks) and compression (22 clicks) damping. It provides much greater sense of confidence and control, and allows modification of chassis geometry not possible with stock shock. Damping is firm, yet plush, yielding perfect combination of precise feedback, excellent traction and rider comfort. All mounting hardware is included, along with original documentation and special tool for preload adjustment.
This shock is used, but has very few miles (less than 1000 on street only, no track use). It is in like-new condition, except for some minor scuffing on the spring from installation and removal in tight space under swingarm. Shock is fully rebuildable, and may be fitted to other motorcycles with replacement of certain parts. Installed Hyperco spring is 900 lbs./inch rate, which is ideal for rider weight of 160 lbs. Higher spring rates are available, but this one would be a big improvement over the wimpy stocker, even for heavier riders.
This shock currently sells new for $840-875, depending on vendor. My SuperHawk is for sale and I’m selling some of its accessories separately.

Well it is a nice shock and all and I'm not in the market myself I would say you might want to drop your price just a bit.
It is yours and you can do whatever you like but for most folks they would need to change the spring for their weight. That would add $100 to the price.
Now they might as well buy a new one and not hassle with a used bit.
So honestly you should be closer to the $500 mark but good luck with your sale.
