FS P&M Trispoke aluminum rims

VTR1000 chrome rims

Used P&M (performance machine) billet aluminum front and rear wheels. Vortex sprocket.
Had them on a 98 about 8k miles on them. About 500 on the sprocket.
Straight and true. No dents, no scratches.

Can use a good polishing, they have been sitting for some time.
Wanted to keep them for another hawk but I dont see that happening anytime soon.

Paid $2098
Asking price at $1000 but...
Make an offer, B/O takes them.

Will get better photos - and I am trying to find the photo of them on the bike.

8541Hawk will become famous soon enough
Just a couple of minor corrections..... they are PM wheels (performance machine) and it's a Vortex sprocket

Are they actually chrome plated? Or just polished aluminum?

I have no idea. Educated guess is polished.
But, when they are cleaned up, I havent seen a set of polished wheels look that shiny...so they could be plated.

Would anyone be interested in me cleaning up a spot and getting a close up, dont know if you would be able to tell based off that.

I wish I had a better answer for you.
I am sure someone here on the forum will be able to tell just by looking at them.

Here is a link to the closest style I could find on P&Ms site:
Performance Machine | Custom Motorcycle Wheels | Paramount

It is polished, not chromed! Did you use the stock rotors on them?

If the rag turns black every time you rub some polish on them then they're not chrome plated. Polished is better a little elbow grease can always have them looking brand new again whereas once chrome pits it's ruined.

Ok thanks guys for clearing that up.

They are polished because the rag turns black when you clean it.

Never knew. Now I do.

Thanks guys!

I was not the one that installed it. The bike came with them on it. The original owner who I knew at the time was very meticulous, did oil changes every 1500 miles on it...I would be hard pressed to think he didnt do or get the best of everything for that bike.

Edit: I just remembered I had the stock rims with the bike and put them back on when I sold the bike. So a safe assumption, it wasnt from the stock wheels.
