Ok sorry bout that...
It is a replacement for this

It is both the mount for the clutch slave cylinder and a sprocket guard

I always wondered if the magnesium stock bit is heavier than the Al replacement

Well this one for sale for our bikes claims a savings of 2 pds over stock. I would have to see that to believe it though...
