To me they look great. I would sell the luggage separately myself since sport squids wont care.
I think this bike is rare enough that most squids just wouldn't know how great it is. All the comments on maintenance is what I would look for but usually its just a price issue. You may have to slide on that.

Yeah it's a shame what they're worth now (well if you're trying to sell one anyway), and really clean ones like that, despite being harder to find, just haven't quite climbed in value yet like some other 80's & 90's sportbikes in that kind of shape. I've bought and sold a bunch of bikes over the years and your ads are very well written (unlike many/most) and are exactly the kind of ad and bike I personally would be looking to buy (as a keeper anyway, not a flip or part out). I don't think your price is outrageous either considering the condition...regardless of KBB.
Yeah 4 months is awhile to wait. Over the years I've sat on 2 bikes to get my price, one a Superhawk and one a Harley I actually sold for someone else to help them out. But even then I think I waited between a month and two months. Otherwise my bikes are usually gone in a week or two. But those are usually flips and I price them to sell because I buy them right.
As was said you may have to wiggle a bit on the price. I'm trying to think of something comparable as the last few superhawks I've bought were all quick projects to flip or part outs (I'll have two on here shortly)... I bought an absolutely immaculate '01 FZ1 a few years back. Very similar in light, tasteful mods like yours (even the same color lol). 3k miles and you could literally eat off it it was so clean (on carpet, under a cover, in his garage, next to his new BMW...). I paid $3100 or $3200 for it, and sold it about a year later like an idiot for $3500 to buy a Hayabusa I had to have. Again I'd buy your bike just from the ad but if you can get 3k or more for it I'd say you're doing alright...
Post it up in the classified here. You certainly have the right audience who appreciates it. Heck I'd buy it and sell whatever I was riding if it wasn't as nice as that one.

Another option, which I've done before, is to post it on Ebay with a high reserve. Though you'll probably be disappointed with what it bids up to, you'll certainly get a few people's attention (anyone in the country and beyond can see it) and can probably make a fair deal outside of Ebay anyway and it won't cost you anything if it doesn't meet your reserve(which is why you make it high). If nothing else you'll find out what people are willing to pay for it...

Looks good to me. A lot of guys, myself included, would rather text. Any hits, be it from text, email or phone are good for you, the seller.
I paid 3,5oo for mine in a condition similar to yours, minus the mods 10 years ago. You have to find a buyer that appreciates the machine as most of us here do. Not impossible but I think you'll have to be very patient.

Wow, that's a lot of.........words.
I have sold a lot of stuff on CL. You do get wackos that never learned how it works, they just googled "how to haggle on Clist" and think that's the same as the real thing.
Be gentle on yourself and others. We were all neophytes at one time

FWIW I do agree with almost everything you've said as far as CL idiots, the frustration and the fact that you are selling and awesome bike at a good price.
Hate to see the struggle but persistence overcomes resistance so stay with it.

I would pay 3600 for this bike if it was near me. I have a good '03 SH and don't need another. But I can't be the only person in the world who'd pay 3.6K for a pristine '03 SH w/ less than 18K miles.
Relax. Keep listing it. Eventually, either your expectations will come down, someone will come up with your price, or some combination thereof will occur to make you content.
