2003 Blue Superhawk for sale
2003 Blue Superhawk for sale
Due to some health problems the past two years, I have not had a chance to ride much. I have a son getting his driver's license in the spring, so I could use the $ to get him a car. I hate to sell this, as it has been my favorite street bike ever. Here are the details.
I bought it in December 2007. It had about 3000 miles on it at that time and it has just under 14,000 miles now. I don't the exact miles, as it needs a new battery. I will get a new battery for the buyer. It has a pair of Yoshimura stainless steel slip ons. They are throaty, but not obnoxious. Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's with some tread left. The forks were rebuilt by Greg (Hawkrider) with springs for someone about 200-220 lbs. The rear shock was rebuilt and revalved by another forum member, JamieDaugherty, with a spring for someone 200-220 lbs. The front brakes have been upgraded with calipers from a CBR 600F4i, stainless braided lines, new pads and a CBR 954RR master cylinder. Brakes went from adequate, to great! new chain and sprockets +4 in the rear I think. I can double check. It has a Pyramid carbon fiber rear hugger and some blue LED lights. The previous owner installed the LED lights. It has a Zero Gravity smoke double bubble wind screen and a tank bra. Only synthetic oil was used and it runs great. There are some small scratches from an 11 year old bike and a small scrape on the front fender. There are scrapes underneath the Dragon stickers. They were there before I got the bike. This bike has not been to the Dragon, I took my old bike there and switched stickers. I have a lot of extras to go with it, including:
six spoke CBR rear rim
rear ceramic wheel bearings (was going to install these at the same time as the rear six spoke rim, but never got around to it)
a size large Vemar helmet
a size large Shoei helmet
two tank bags, one of which has a permanent mount on the gas filler ring
soft saddle bags
the original brake calipers and master cylinder
several riding jackets one leather two synthetic
several pairs of riding gloves, all in good shape
I'm sure I am probably missing something, but I will answer any questions I can. I am looking for $3200/OBO.
It is only allowing me to upload 5 pictures, so I will post replies to this with more pictures.

for what's it worth... If your not going to continue to ride, sell it. If riding is your passion and relaxation. don't. You will never be able to replace such a nice bike as that, and it will only become more desirable as the years go by. IMO.
I do not counsel you to keep the bike. You know what you can do. You know your limitations and only you can make the decision to sell. None of us can ride forever. There will come a time when we all will have to give it up. (Like my 88 year old dad and his driving.) I hope that when my time to make that decision comes, that I have the support of my friends and fellow riders. Bikes come and bikes go but the memories still live on.
2003 Superhawk
Sold....Thanks to everyone on this site. It was always a pleasure dealing with the great members here. Everyone was always very helpful and professional. It was a sad day to see it go, but it went to a good home. Maybe someday I will ride again.......

How much did you get for it?
Don't be a stranger.
thanks
In 2008 I sold my 2003 vtr for a full out trackbike, I'm so glad to have found this bike and rick was so helpful with some of the minor problems we encountered, he is a good guy and I hope he rides again too. I was a regular on this site years ago and will be again, as far as the sale price that's a little personal, for Rick's sake, I look forward to all the help and support from all of you
