I'm interested and I live in central Alabama, just below Birmingham. This is my first post on this forum but I'm currently in the market for a clean used SuperHawk. How many hands has the bike been through and do you have any maintenance records? 63k is a good bit of miles but it is a Honda afterall. I'd just like to know some history on the bike if possible. Thanks.

The bike has been meticulous maintained. The previous owner did not have records but the overall condition is excellent. I am the second owner and the bike sounds great... although I think the carbs need synchronized? Not sure the first v-twin I have every ridden the bike has a throbbing acceleration? If you are interested send me a offer I will consider all offers. Thanks,
David

I'm very interested and thanks for putting up the video. How bad or how often does the bike have this throbbing issue and is it significant? Only in certain gears or throughout the entire powerband in every gear? I have a friend/co-worker that can help me sync the carbs if that is the issue. Aside from that, everything else works fine and rides fine? Also how many teeth are the sprockets relative to the stock gearing (-1F/+2R etc) ? Thanks and let me know.

It may be me because it is the 1st v-twin that I have ridden. The "shudder" happens during full acceleration (every gear, full power band). Maybe the way it rides but I think the carbs need cleaned or synced???

Sounds like a sync issue maybe. I read on some of your other posts about it but it's hard to figure out for sure. Can you strap your camera to your tank and go for a quick ride then post it up? That way I could probably see the tach and hear what the bike is doing in regards to the thumping you're describing.
Did you happen to remember what the sprocket count was for the front and rear? Also has the bike ever been down? And finally do you have a clean title? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to get some info on it. I may try to come by this weekend and take a look at it if that's possible. You are not too far away http://www.mapquest.com/mq/8-gFbG

The previous owner changed the chain and sprockets (not sure if he changed tooth size). He also said he dropped the bike in a parking lot and cracked the left side fairing, which he replaced...I saw scratches on the bottom left side muffler. Other than that it looks like he took great care of the bike. It is very clean. I do have a clean title.
Thanks,
David

Update: I just found a hole in the front diaphragm...I think this is the cause of choppy acceleration???
