That looks like Findlay Road if I'm not mistaken? Great road.

For me it was the Awhitu Peninsular.

Ordered some new tyres, am disappointed that I can't get the Dunlop Sportmax Qualifier D209 here at the moment. Have had 2 sets of them and loved them.

Took the plunge and ordered some Bridgestone T30s.

I am a bit worried as I have read good and bad!

I guess we'll see soon enough.

P.S Sorry to bring up tyres in this thread.

I got a new pair of Dunlop Sportmax and have been breaking them in. I've been riding around the county gradually getting more lean angle on the tires. I've got just about 100 miles on them now. Hope to do some serious riding next time.
It's a blisteringly hot day here in Washington state. I was sticky even in my mesh jacket. Too much traffic crawling around today also.

I got a new pair of Metzeler Z8 Interacts and have been breaking them in. I've been riding around the country gradually getting more lean angle on the tyres. I've got just about 160km on them now. Hope to do some serious riding next time.
It's a blustery cold day here in New Zealand. Even with a thermal top, zipped in liner and a couple of stops to stand in the sun I lost feeling in my fingers. Not much traffic crawling around today also.

If this is the worst that winter has then I'm ok with that.

We bought this on Friday. I did a stack of work on it on Saturday and she got to ride it today. Honda 599.

Big story behind this, she had a huge crash 3 years ago. She is only now just getting better enough to ride again.

carried out a remote microphone mod to my contour roam 2'camera.

Mounted the mic at the top of my rear number plate, and hopefully out of the wind.

Hope it works, sick of wind noise and want to post a few vids on here but the sound quality has been terrible .

Raining here for ages, snowing over the mountain and no riding so I am tinkering.

So I picked the hottest day of the year to do about 200 miles around central PA. Heat index is @ 111F degrees F! Mesh jacket, reinforced jeans, boots and helmet are all pretty well wet. Time to kick back w/ a cold one!!

Been slowly putting her together after last septembers wreck. Bought a house, got some fines, and started more schooling all worse then just getting the bike rideable again. Got her back from the local shop who checked everything over and decided to go dual fighter headlights do to price of replacing hot bodies rc-51 kit on it. There is a ton of debate on this style but for me right now its about getting out and able to ride and worry abôut who likes how it looks later.

As far as "how much?" , well that is an interesting subject. I didn't listen to other wise members warning about how this can get pretty expensive. The Ebay front end wasn't too bad, but by the time Catalyst Reaction got done with the forks, new rotors (Ebay seller lied, shipped rotors were bent, cast fender tab on fork broken) pads, bar kits, bearings etc. Unless you are more resourceful than I, better budget way north of a grand. Which is more than my initial purchase price for the bike.

Looking at all the parts laid out, I have all of the same except pads and the sheet of plywood. Do I need the plywood and is CDX OK or do I need AC?

I have seen photos of your bike. You must clean a lot because it looks spotless.

"Do I need the plywood and is CDX OK or do I need AC? "

Go for the "birch veneer" plywood mod. It's worth the money.
The wheel has a new tire on it now and I have included an axle.
What kind of bars are you going to use? Same also? I was lucky to get a good used Convertibars set off Ebay.

Yah sometimes i just stare at it and try to find places to clean...

I only ride a couple times a week, and i work 3.5 miles from home. Group rides are about 150 miles and i don't ride in the rain anymore because i just don't want to, i have a car for that.

I like having a clean bike

Update us with some finished pics Hangfly!!!

I have wanted to use Convertibars as I think that they are the best option for getting the ergos that I want. The price has kept me from getting a set. I will eventually get a set because I don't think that the bars that I have (off a 954, mounted on top of a 954 triple with SP1 forks) are going to be to my liking. Not sure when I'll be able to send the forks to Jamie and have the springs, vales and seals done and finish the swap as I just splurged on an exhaust system from the evil man of nothing.

Put the new Bridgestone T30 tyres on and tested my remote contour 2 mic mod.

Only rode for a bout 30 mins but the tyres feel way different and still very slippery.

The mic mod works a treat, now have to work out how to post a video.

Got a title, tags, removed the seat cowl and seat hooks. Filled the tires with correct air pressure.....they only had 1/2 what they needed.

Went for a decent ride with the new tyres.

Well happy with the grip level and ride comfort.

Never had a set of Bridgestones before.

Hope these T30 tyres wear well.

Also took some video, the camera is a bit wobbly and the mic needs to be moved as it's picking up the noise of the chain.

Will have to tinker a bit more and figure out how to post a video.

Replaced the windscreen mounted mirrors with some ancient bar end types that I dug out of the garage. Made some plastic oval covers for the removal area and put in some stainless bolts. Kinda rat, but I had to put something there.

Put the new license sticker on the bike's tag. Tried my new perforated leather pants for a short ride. They work OK on these 70F degree mornings; I don't know how they'll do when its over 90F like this afternoon.
Dropped my voting ballot off at the drop box on the bike and in leathers (look ma I'm representing). Then I had breakfast at the local Buzz Inn restaurant here in Everett. Sadly I was the only rider there. Then I filled up ready for a long ride.
I hurt my knee last week and it started complaining. I headed home. Looks like I'm stuck doing short rides until the knee gets better.
Take it easy on those new tires Kenmore. I'm told it's best not to thrash it the first 140 km. Tanto, let us know how those bar ends work out; do you get much vibration in the image with them?

Change the earl - I always free very good when I do this!

THIS IS NOT AN Earl thread

but Mobil 1 for motos - its not cheap but the VTR is worth it, plus I had $20 off at Autozone (Yes they sell Moto Earl)

My last change was 6400 miles ago - This is the longest I've ever gone between changes and the old Mobil 1 looked ok.

Next wash & wax it, then clean & lube chain.

Enjoy ur Sunday Funday > Stay Safe

RobertLever, I had a chance to test drive with the mirrors. Well, they do vibrate a bit, but not as badly as they did when I had them on my FZR. They have a much better field of vision (I can see more than my arm) than the windscreen mirrors. My clutch lever does touch the mount a tiny bit, so I may consider something a bit shorter there.

took it down the 1/4

First pass on a motorcycle for me. Ran 12.0 @ 115 mph. I know I can improve but just wanted to have a little fun. Not bad for 40,000 mile stock bike. Next time will be 11's. Will post vid soon
