ZX7R forks

Can anyone tell me if Kwak upside down forks would fit the VTR 1000 frame without lots of mods ? I have been offered forks at a decent price.

Well, if they come from a bike around the same size and weight, and it's a COMPLETE front end with wheel, brakes, triples, etc. then you only need to custom fit the triple clamp stem to bearings and the VTR frame. If you only have a good deal on forks...you're in for a lot of work. Sticking with Honda parts means axles, spacers, calipers, bearings, steering stem length, and all that stuff, is much more interchangeable. Be patient, good deals come up on 954/929.RC51, and 1000rr stuff all the time.
I did mine with 954 stuff and am VERY VERY happy with it. The bike is on rails at any speed and bumps are almost not felt.

I've got a set of ZX7R forks in my rack-o-forks and they are about the same length as GSXR or CBR954RR forks. You'd run into the same issues (or lack there of) as any of the other fork swaps. I'd think the triples would be the biggest issue as you'd probably want to use teh ZX parts. The reason there is because you'd also want to use the ZX wheel, rotors, calipers, axle, etc as well. That is, unless you like fabbing a bunch of parts which in that case go for it!

One note - the reason my forks are on the rack is because everything I've read says that they are boarderline crummy. I'd hate for you to go through a bunch of work only to find out that the peformance is not there.
