will it work?

Hey all its been a while for me here

Hope all are doing well

I have come into a streak of luck , good or bad is still to be determined .

I had picked up a butchered 98 sh and just recently found a 02 doner.

Question is will the motor be a direct fit?

Seems the harness is a bit different

Thanks in advanced for all your help

No difference in the motor, other than slightly different cams, they're nearly identical. Harness should be similar, too, I believe- what parts look different on it?

harness difference

from what i see at a quick glance, the gauge connection changed.

I also noticed the computer is different.

other than that, if the MORON that had the doner bike before me did not try to polish the frame (DON'T ASK) I would be setting up a 02 SH and parting the 98 !!

So many projects!!
So little time

So a motor swap because you dont like the polished frame? You could powdercoat it or something right?

Powdercoat is a +1 in my book. Or anodize the sucker- I'd really like to see someone pull that off.

i think "tried" was the operative word here. Sounds like the PO screwed up the frame in the process
