Don't think so, only cause there's two of them, one on each side...but they could be, I guess? Anyone else?

Definitely some kind of gadget mounts. I'm gonna go with radar detector since it's mounted inboard.

They're not stock bars (OEM has only one hex bolt) - If you took the pic does the bike have a standard front end, yokes etc?

The Clip-ons look exactly like my old style Heli Bars that I have installed on mine, FWIW.

Those two screen fittings could be where someone has fitted a screen flip-up, a separate strip of screen fitted above the standard one to reduce buffeting.

Those mounts are a bitch to get off. They were on my Bandit when I bought it too. I used a blowdryer to heat the glue up real good and used a knife to get one edge lifting up and they slowly peeled off. Be very careful and you won't scratch your windscreen.

"Can the system be moved or permanently removed?
Yes... base units (the part attached to the vehicle) are tape mounted and can be removed. It is best to do this when they are warm. Park in the sun or lightly preheat them with a hairdryer. When the bases are warm, peel them off by starting at a corner. If you must use a tool to start peeling an edged, use a smooth edged tool and be careful not to scratch the vehicle. Replacement bases are available for remounting or repositioning and are listed in the Parts and Accessories link of the particular model page. The tape is applied here at the factory using a special tape enhancer and is sold only as a taped base set."

Yeah, look like Heli's, I mounted mine under the triples because I have gsxr forks and do track days so i wasn't looking for extra rise.

I was curious if they were the "old" style or the "new" style. How can they be told apart?

Those look pretty stout compared to the old version clamp. Wonder if that is why they changed.

According to their site they stopped making them but demand made them bring them back and they changed design at the same time, looks like they changed materials as well.

I actually crashed my bike fairly hard with the old style and they held up very well.
