This may sound silly, but I'm curious to know if the lights are supposed to be on behind me...

Here's the situation: My '98 Firestorm (hello from Canada) just came out of storage on the weekend and tonight the turn signals stopped working. After fiddling with and generally smacking around the relay, they started working normally again.

I expect the relay will need replacing soon, and that's no big deal. But then I noticed that the front turn signals stay on as parking lights, while the rears are not. The rears bulbs only have one filament in them, so I'm assuming they're not supposed to be on as parking lights at the rear.

Can someone confirm this? Please turn on your bikes and tell me if the rear turn signals are normally on as parking lights like the front ones or not.

(I'm hoping this is a North America situation, and not a Canadian one...)
