Today's ride and APE leak

Did about 350 miles on the 1000RR today. Hit up some twisties with the bros in the area - my normal riding group. Great ride but it was fairly warm for up north here, about 92°. Combined with the heat, the stock seat on that thing really sucks! I may upgrade to a Sargent soon.

Hammer7205 and I were supposed to hook up for another ride this evening but he got an emergency call from work. Maybe tomorrow....

I toyed with the SuperChicken for a while and decided to FINALLY fix the APE leak. FYI, o-rings for air conditioning don't work. They don't stretch far enough to get over the adjuster and locking nuts. I only broke 3 before I gave up. Sorting through the miscellaneous bike **** in the garage I found a master link for a chain, complete with.....O-RINGS! They work perfectly, BTW and I have no more leak. It only took me about a year or so to get around to that project.

So, when you had this leak - where did the oil show up at? I have a leak and am trying to see if its my oil pan, clutch or something else. Please let me know! Thanks!

Nah, not the same thing. This is a very small leak from the threads of my APE manual CCT, and only from the rear.
