strange groove running down the middle of the tire?

I've seen a tire with two different tire compounds have a line kind of similar to that when the tire wears down.
I don't know...now that I look at it, that line looks like you did a burn out (or just spun the tire a little) a while back and got a deep groove in the tire from it, then the tire wore down to the point you see it now.

I don't do burnouts with touring bikes

Ill look for cords then stick a tube in it for safetys sake. Did dragon and cherahola yesterday and cherahola twice today. Edges are getting some use. Good thing I have a 190 on standby I bought for $40.

Sweet roads, now do them again with "vigor" and get to the wear bars on the sides. Or I can sell you some "pre scrubbed" track take offs

Bought this off ebay. Interesting what you find when peel off the sellers label. I tried patching then pluging. Still would not hold air. Purchased from Elys out of FLA I'll be giving them a shout next week.

In my vast ebay dealings, no one pays attention til you open a case. Say it wasnt as described and unsafe. Thats when you get a response. Or you can get an innertube.
If you need bargain rubber I have a tire that will still pass inspection. But like I said, a dunlop roadsmart is $100 to your door (shipping incld) from the superstore.

10k and you bought a hacked take off? Methinks there is something amiss.
The roadsmart is a lot of mile for the monet as its dual compound. You may or maynot beat it with a touring tire but you'd loose a bunch of grip.
You should have no prob fixing that tire with a mushroom patch from the inside. Just use brake cleaner to prep the area and a bunch of rubber cement.
Tube has been a Godsend, you just cut out the old valve stem. Simple

What'd ya expect man?! Its Florida! Aint no curves in FL!
An I agree with smokinjoe, a mushroom patch thing from the inside-out will fix her up good...worked on mine for a couple thousand miles...would loose air over time, but just check before you ride. Should be doin that anyway, right
