Silly Question

I bought a bike without a chin fairing a while back. finally got a chin and went to put it on the bike and i can't figure out where it is supposed to bolt on. are there brackets or something i might be missing?

Yes, you will need the brackets if you don't have them.

I checked my big box of bolts & brackets I got from a teardown with some other parts I bought, but those brackets weren't in there...sorry. Though it may not be an issue for you, one other thing to at least be aware of is the oil filter the previous owner used. I bought a used bike with no chin fairing and after driving myself crazy trying to get the new one on realized the previous owner used a longer oil filter and it was hitting the back of the chin fairing and not allowing it go on all the way.
