Recommended first settings for my Factory Jet kit

Ok, I am going to start the process of jetting my bike. I have my service manual and it doesnt seem that hard. Just a couple of questions. What base settings should i use if I have the following:
Bafflectomy stock pipes
K&N filter
Pair emission disabled
Sea Level

Thanks Guys

Idle screws at three turns out. Needle clip at fourth from the top. Stock or one size bigger idle jets. 180 F main, 182 rear.

Others may have other suggestions.

I am using same set up as jschmidt except 182 F main and 185 R main. It works great. I also have 50 pilot jets. Runs awesome and top end is much better.

Re: Recommended first settings for my Factory Jet kit

A couple of months ago I put in my jet kit, I had great hp and torque, but my gas mileage sucked. 175/178 50K 4th clip 21/2 turns

This weekend I took the shawk apart and thought I would lean her out a bit.

I am running yosh slip ons,(they have baffling in them) that is my only mod (as far as the engine is concerned). The examples given in the factory kits are using straight through exhaust (D&D and 2bros)

They go from n22dle position 2 (stock) to 4 (straight through exhaust.

I am switching to 172/175 pilot 50 2 1/4 turns . I am going to run with this for a week see what my mileage is and then possibly deside to pull it again.

I want to know what the 3rd needle clip will do.

I am going for a compromise of power and good gas mileage.

I will let you know how it turns out in a week or so.
