Rear Brake Caliper Piston

I have a new honda repair manual coming but I have to change my rear pads now. I don't want to damage my piston and I am trying to find out if when I push in the piston is it a twist in piston or a standard piston?

Standard piston. Have you done brake work before?

Yes, I have worked on all my cars since I was 14 years old , I now am 44 but this is my first motorcycle and although they are similar, I still have a lot to learn. I appreciate your quick response and willing to share what knowledge you have.

Sure thing. There is nothing unusual about the brake system.

8541Hawk will become famous soon enough
Well then there should be no need to tell you to clean the piston before you push back into the caliper, correct?
