Dude if she;s really running rich she can't be running awesome. What did you do on the rebuild? If you tell me you installed a jet kit I will point you to Hawk8451's "Carb Setup"
post.

NO jet kit, stayed stock. and she has amazing power in the upper rpm's but idle and acceleration. damn.. no bueno. she is eating fuel like it was going out of style.. as for the "rebuild" I got new gaskets a few cans of carb cleaner and just took them apart- put them back together piece by piece..., new vacuum hoses, tps adjustment to 500 Ohms,7moore7 on the forum and myself synced the carbs last sunday.. they werent too out of wack.

No, no rooting around on the jets.. OK so the mixture screw.. thats the one OUTSIDE the bowls right, I believe there is a little brass cap on them??? how do you remove those caps without destroying them?

there shouldnt be caps on them.it is the little D-shaped screws underneath the bowls.
for a starting point,should be 2 1/2 turns out.

these are the screws, should put a notch on it so you can use flat head, which motion pro makes the special tool to get it in there when its on the bike.
the tool is only flat head and not D-shaped.
