radiator fan question

since i bought a used hawk, a salvaged, used hawk at that. i'm coming to find alot of changes and mods as i go through the bike. some good : front suspension has been reworked, some bad: airbox gutted. so heres my question. on my bike, the radiator fan is a pusher, pushes hot air from the motor trough the radiator. not sure if thats how it's supposed to be or if somebody switched the wires. seems it would be better if it was a puller, pulling in the cooler air from outside. please let me know whats going on... thanks guys!

Re: radiator fan question

It's supposed to be a pusher, If you compare the fanblade design to a puller you'll really see the difference.
Also if the fan were a puller it would try to push the hot air out the front which works at parking lot speeds only.
