Radar detector mount

Hi, another newbie, waiting to receive his bike during this long New England winter, thinking about issues w/ my new Hawk. I have a Passport 9500 radar detector that I mount from suckers on my Speed3 windshield, that I wanna be able to use on the Hawk. I suppose I could stick em on to the inside of the windshield, but I'm concerned that if I hit a bump and they shook loose, my $450 detector would be eaten by the street. Any safer bike mounting suggestions that I could use?

RAM makes some versatile high quality stuff. You should be able to find something there.
