R/R switch gone BAD

R/R died No big surprise. I bought my replacement R/R off of a 2006 R1. 5 prongs, yada yada. I looked at the wiring diagram from Tweety's web page and found a similar diagram for the R1. Unless, not only, did I look at the wrong year R1 but also they switched pos/neg pins between years I have the wiring correct. However sometime between reconnecting the battery and turning the key my main fuse blew. Help?

For future reference, either I'm REALLY blind (like, I check several times before and then after) I mis-red the diagram and swapped pos/neg.
Or I was looking at the wrong year R1 diagram. Either way I had switched pos/neg. Bike works great now.

For future reference a 2006 R1 R/R is not a very good choice unless your going to cleverly place the R/R. The 2006 has very long fins which do not fit under the tail of the Hawk. So I had to cut them down.

If you DO end up with an 06 R1 R/R the three pins in the light grey are alternator and are universal. The pos is closest to the alternator pins and the neg is furthest to the outside.
