Question on Track day conversion

When I pop the mirrors off my 03 SH it looks like the mounts for the mirrors with the bolts attached to the mirrors are a main support to the wind screen, do I have to put some bolts in there so that the support is still there im hitting Road America next monday and Im afraid with the speeds there that really need that support.

I put bolts in mine, just use some rubber washers so you don't scratch it up.

trinc is on a distinguished road
i use screws w/ nylon lock nuts ( don't tighten them to tight ! ). i also leave the rubber piece on there.

i just don't trust zip ties - if you don't have them tight enough you will stress the other fairing screws. Portland internation raceway has some good bumps so i don't chance it.

i do see lots of people with zip ties though. the last thing i need is to be peg'd in 6th gear down the front straight having the front fairing rattling around.

tim
