my baby wont start! Please help

Well Lets see i have a 1998 SH 996. I parked it after my ride. Bike ran well that day. Well the next day it wouldnt start! Well checked the battery and wires all good. It cranks but does not fire. Checked for spark not getting any. Possible causes are CDI, Coils, Stator its getting gas. Could it also be the kickstand switch to kill the bike thats killing it? Or whats called the angle gear? Don't know where to start. Anything else it could be. Changed the plugs already and rechecked all connection. It couldn't go bad all of a sudden could it?

Start with the simple. Is it in gear? Is the kill switch on?

If you have a manual look in the troubleshooting areas for some help (there is a link in the knowledge base here as well for the manual) Check the sidestand, clutch, handlebar kill switch (it happens to the best of us) etc and try to determine whats going on from there. Check both coils, one can go bad but not likely both so then check the other things mentioned including the CDI if you know someone with a comparable one but its probably something simple. good luck with it!

I still think that using it every time you shut the bike off is the best it becomes second nature, and make sweet backfires, try rev it and control it with the kill switch

If it is the kickstand you should have a big angry yellow S light shining at you.. as that dash light is on when the kickstand is down. And even then IIRC it should still start in neutral.

he said it cranks so that eliminates kickstand switch and kill switch since both of those simply will not let it crank.
Looks like the cdi is bad.

Nope, it'll crank all day with the kill switch engaged, just won't spark.
