Very cool. Just wonder what the range is for an eBike that can do 150MPH with over 100ft-lbs of torque? Your suckin some serious watts to pull that off.

I wouldn't be surprised if it has more range than our hawks!

Ummm... Guys - $68,995?!? 150 mile range is about what we get BUT who here takes TWO HOURS to fill the tank?
I could just see someone on this forum getting one and then trying to mod it to a gas engine to eliminate the 2 hour charge...

Seriously? I mean really, all joking aside, I'm curious.
Say the price were to come down to something realistic - I'm talkin Honda pricing not Ducati. Also, lets say the recharge time gets halved and the weight (didn't see them quote that) is maybe the heavy side of competitive - VFR or so.
Other than the curiousity factor, who here is relly going to choose this over a VFR?
I say the range is a deal killer. Even if it were trippled who here would buy a bike that you could only travel 225 miles from home? Realistically that would probably meet 90% of our NEEDS.
But guys, my riding is about DESIRE.

well, we really can't say anything until we experience it. It might be worth it to ride just for that short distance!? Its also one of the first of its kind. I can't wait to see the crazy **** that technology will bring us in the next 15-20 years!

Oh I would choose instant torque if it was the same price and comprable weight and suspension. And the range, and weight, and recharge time, and cost to run (read:replacement batteries) will all come down over time. It's like Morre's law for computing power. This stuff is the future for sure.

I'm sure when motorcycles where new there were guys on horses decrying the range, smell, and cost of the new-fangled machines as compared to freshly brushed stallion with new shoes and belly full of oats.

I like torque too!!!
But I guess I'm feelin a bit pessimistic as I'm sittin in this hotel room and my lap tops battery is draining away. 4th Lap top in 15 years and the battery life has not even doubled.
My parents have a Prius
They Love it
I'd rather drive my washing machine
They traded their Civic for better better gas mileage, and to be green.
If the desire to be Green is akin to my desire to hop on Tatiana (my VTR) and ride her for all she's worth - Then I get it.
But my moms goes on about saving gas, saving resources, saving the world.
Maybe the world needs VTRs.....

yep, my admittedly less than (but close to) 150 mile range ain't the "EPA cycle" either. telling how they don't quote weight, 0-60, 1/4 mile or HP figures. and there's that elephant in the room...

$68,995
