Mirror disassembly possble?

So I was looking for something to practice painting on, and decided to clean up a pair a mirrors that are in rough shape. Does anyone know if it is possible to disassemble them?? There is a lip over the edge of the mirror, which means I need to separate the 2 parts (?) to the housing, but cannot for the life of me figure out how it was put together. Anyone see the inside of a smashed mirror?

That's a good question! I don't recall ever seeing one broke down. Hope someone see this who can possibly help.

The lip is more of a fusion between the 2 parts. In other words, it's all in one part. You'll need to tape the mirror portion to paint.

Thanks for the clear answer. I cannot stand it when companies purposely make products to be non-serviceable. How much waste has been created due to them wanting customers to purchase replacements instead of allowing them to make minor repairs. Well, since one mirror has a broken corner, I may just un-fuse them and restore them in a serviceable way. Not like I have better things to do with my time. Oh wait. Yes I do. Guess I'll just do it to spite the Ken Sean corporation.

There are balances between serviceability, manufacturability, and cost and the latter two will always tip the scale.

IMO this is an item that really has no need for serviceability.

I humbly disagree. I have a need for its serviceability as this exact moment.
