So I dont know about you guys but a seemingly simple job like this has like every tool, wire stripper, crimper, sockets connector etc being used. Kinda funny but it worked out great.

Put the switch on the inner fairing duct. Very out of sight and it works without the key on since that is the point of hazards. I wound up using a relay since the voltage draw was bigger than I wanted to carry from tai to nose on a wire run.

The cool thing is that with the relay, you are only running super low voltage ground (-) along the frame so short wont cause fires.. I used very robust wire and routed it with no stress so should be good.

I used the cheapest autostore flasher since I have mixed led and incandesant bulbs 4 each front and back so I will be seen.

 

Cool. Think I'm gonna do a bicycle tail light/strobe for this. Independant of electrical system on the bike, throw it under the seat.

 

Yeah, up until now I tried that, also had the led blinkers they sell as "led flares" which are way more robust. I realized when riding into fog, rain or on highways with no place to stop that its too dangerous to not be able to hazard while riding.

Also came up when road traffic is drasticly slowing from a long distance. I have a brakelight flasher but saw one too many rear end crashes that coulda been prvnted with hazards. When its really dicey its best to lanesplit to avoid getting crushed.

Also, they get really bashed around, the batteries die, etc. If you lose motor on a 77mph freeway in the rain, those lights will be using YOU as protection.
