High mount mounting bracket

I recently purchased some MIG high mount exhaust. They did not come with any mounting brackets. I was wondering where i can find the mounting brackets for a high mount.

They will be specific to the brand you have. Each sit at different angles etc.

My MIG high mounts actually have captured nuts so the brackets are just made of thick aluminum bent into shape and bolted directly to the pipes & subframe. But most other brands use a band around the pipe to accomplish the same thing. (I think there are several version of MIG high mount exhaust too, it was a one man shop and each set of pipes were likely to be somewhat unique)

Since MIG went out of business your best bet is to get them custom made for you or to make them yourself.

Yeah there is a bracket bolted to the pipes. no bands. I may wind up making some if i cant find any that have the same brackets.

I read that M4 exhaust is similar. If anybody has them and wouldnt mind posting the center to center on the bolt holes that would be helpfull. If i make them they would have to be made out of stainless and i would prefer alluminum.

Aaugh! I totally forgot, I purchased a new toy (suzuki samurai) and got wrapped up in that. Tonight when I get home I'll do that.

So after looking at it I figured not much point in removing it.

here are some pics to show you how it works:

It attaches to the passenger pegs that need to be moved out with 2 inch spacers:

then you can see the general shape of it here:

And the distance from the peg to the can:

If you need more let me know.

Thanks man they mounted up great. I realized the reason it didnt look right is the guy i got them from must have had speacial brackets because the pieces on the pipes were switched so that the bolt hole for the pegs was on the inside instead of the outside

Cool, glad you got it figured out.

I'd be curious to see your setup if you ever have your camera handy.
