help with a coolant leak
i noticed a few drops of coolant under the bike last week, i thought maybe it was old stuff from when i put coolant in before winter and i had spilled some, which i did. so today i went for a quick ride and when i got home i noticed i had a few spots on the driveway where i was running the bike and then when i shut it off a couple more came out. it doesnt seem like the line is leaking but more as if its leaking from around a bolt on the right hand side where some of the coolant lines feed in. i couldnt tell if it was leaking from the bottom of this cover or what. the hose looks wet but when i touched it it was dry. any thoughts?

Looks like it's coming from the weep hole, meaning a water pump seal leak.
The fix is mechanical seal set..19217-MAL-300, Oil seal 91291-965-000, bearing 96100-6200300

Look at the front of the clutch cover at the gasket area - there's a a small hole or spigot where it could be leaking (between the water pump if the gasket leaks there is a channel for the leak to go rather than forcing forcing its way into the oily clutch) . To be sure dry it off sprinkle talcum powder (lavender scented ;-) over all suspect areas - take it for a spin and track to the source.

thanks guys, E.Marquez does that kit include just seals or something waterpump related aswell? i just know that in cars when the weap hole starts to pee it means the waterpump has crapped out aswell.
wicky ill try your method first and find out for sure where its coming from. what if its ocean spray scented will it work the same? lol

It's not a kit, those are individual parts needed.
OEM Honda part numbers.
Oil seal, coolant seal, bearing.
It does not include the impeller.. Which most often is reusable.
If you have not looked at the repair procedure in the service manual you might want to.. It's not brain surgery, but you have to follow the procedure exactly.

good to know, im semi retarded so ill get my honda mechanic buddy to take care of this when he comes by next weekend to do some other work, thanks for the help much appreciated.
