Has anyone tried a Busa front end?

I am sick of the wallowy feeling of the superhawk front end and want to change it. I was wondering if anyone had tried a hyabusa front end. If it hasn't been done why not?

There are several issues..

You will have to modify the Hayabusa triples and stem to fit the Honda frame and probably change bearings etc. (edited for bad info, busa forks will not fit 954 triples)

I am sure it CAN be done, but really a 929/954/rc51/cbr1000rr is your best bet for USD forks on our bike.

edit: If you read my adventure with a fork swap you will see that I tried GSXR parts first due to cost, and ended up going CBR because in the long run, those are the cheaper option since you can make them work with standard garage tools and no machine shop needed.

Here I will upload a image from a triumph forum that has some good forkswap info that others I am sure can use.

Better image:

well in that case. . . . . will the f3 front wheel fit in the 954 front end? I am planning on going the 6 spoke route soon.

Another problem with USD forks is the horrible turn radius you get.

True, but you can make it better by moving the radiators and doing a little grinding on the steering stops. I haven't done either to mine; I just have learned to live with the turning radius. It doesn't bother me too often any more.

Not without custom spacers, bearings and fitment of the rotors, but I think a RC51 wheel might. (F3 won't work with Suzuki parts for sure either)

Have you thought about just getting your stock forks revalved and resprung? Most guys can't outride the bike with massaged forks. I rode the **** out of mine street and track (Advanced group) with Gold Valves.

PM me if interested.

To dredge a really old thread. I may be able to get a set of Busa forks with front wheel but no triple clamp for a good price. Cant find any info if anybody has one on a faired bike.
