Gouge in Fork Internals

Replacing bushings/seals and new Race-tech springs tonight...Looks like I'm not the first one in these forks - underneath the guide bushing there is a gouge that looks suspiciously like needle-nose marks. it's been sanded pretty smooth, is this going to be an issue? Opinions?

That won't be a problem, as long as any high spots have been taken off. The stationary back side of the upper bushing sits there, the delicate sliding surface faces inwards onto the tube.
