FUEL PETCOCK LEAK?

ok, just the other day I came to ride this awesome bike when all of the sudden I smelled fuel, looked around and noticed my fuel tank petcock was dropping from the little vent/pipe pointing downwards, it was in the on position like it should be, right. I let it drip overnight and came back next morning, still dropping so the tank wasn't over filled. I turned it to the off position the next night and it stopped leaking. Came out the next morning and now the bike won't start, wtf? I'm clueless, please call or text chris at 7197618086 or my email is chrismontgomery09@yahoo.com

I had that issue and bought/installed a rebuild kit. Fixed the issue 100%. my guess is one of the diaphragms is cracked or something.

But it doesn't make sense why it won't start though?

If the diaphragm in the petcock is cracked, it doesn't build enough vaccum to open, or at least open fully... So it makes sense not starting...

If you want to make sure that the bike is running while your petcock is out of service, you can pour a little bit of fuel in the lines. There will be enough fuel for it to run for a couple of minutes before you drain the bowls. Plus, it's kinda fun to see the bike running with no tank on...

It's probably more fun if you're a non-smoker.

Didn't check the fuses yet, but I'm gonna jump it today, replace the battery this weekend and my petcock should be in by the weekend too hopefully. Can't ride with all that fuel leaking
