Fuel gauge again.

So in my long endeavor to get my 07 cbr600rr dash to read a 2nd gen fuel sensor, I am calculating whether I need to source a fuel sender from that bike (cbr)or can I adapt the vtr (gives 4-10ohms full / 81-91ohm empty) to the cbr dash which wants 12-14 full and 119-121ohms empty.

I have yet to get a resistor to make much difference. A 10 ohm reststr doesnt change the display but a 47ohm one does somewhat.

Someone has to have done something really similar right? Or am I Christopher Columbus?

Well, changing the value of a non linear resistor pot with an added resistor is danged tricky, and 9 times out of 10 it doesn't work very well... So you're probably not the first to try... But most will just get the CBR sender unit instead...

Yeah that was my thought so I have one on the way. The next trick is to try to figure how to get it into the tank to make it work. Kinda mad at honda right about now.
