Conflicting information. If you talk to others, the ground strap is unnecessary, since it is going straight to the battery, the green wire.

Doom, there is so much info on this board about swaps........use the search, you'll even find out that there are some that don't require different triple trees.

Correct... The green wire goes directly to the battery... But you still need the groundstrap...

It works without it, but you reduce life of the R/R ... Research multiple point grounding and electrical interference/resonance...
