Exhaust swap - GSXR, R1 ?

Hey Guys,

I'm looking to buy the Two brothers Silver Series exhaust, but they don't make them for the VTR .

They only make them for the GSX-R and the R1, do you know if they are hard to fit?

I know it won't be an exact match, but would it need a lot of custom work? Should I go with the R1 or the GSXR (is the R1 closer to the VTR)?

I have the stock exhaust as of today.

Thanks in advance for your help.

P.S.
I've looked on the "search" before asking to see if the was a "Swap guide" or something like that and I found nothing.

Sounds like a lot more work than is worth it to me. No matter what, if you get any system that is not made for the VTR is that mid pipes will have to be made In order to mound the cans to the headers, and also a hanger system will have to be made.

If it were me I would find an exhaust I like that was made for the VTR rather than spending double the price to fab up a different exhaust that's not made for the bike.

I ran a Blue Flame can from a 98 R1 when I did my 2-1 mod a few years back and it fit. You may be able to fit the desired cans to a set of link pipes and run them as slip-ons, but you'll have to do some measuring first.

I'm asking this because I wasn't able to find anything that fit (and black).

I'm from Canada and I don't have a lot of choice. Yosh and TB Black series both discontinued.

I was hoping that maybe it wasn't that hard or not to $

I just picked up a set of black GPR high mount exhaust off eBay for 600 I think the low mounts were 500 and they had some other styles that were a little cheaper as well. And they shipped anywhere in the world.

Two Brothers actually still made all their pipes and the Black Series for the VTR until about mid summer this year. I called them up a couple of weeks after they took it off their website and they made me a set of the Black series. Very helpful went to a lot of trouble to see if they could make me a set.

The cans themselves are mostly the same bike to bike and a lot of times the cans are more universal and the midpipes are what differ from exhaust package a to exhaust package b

Find yourself a set of midpipes for the VTR, measure where it will mount to the can, and find a can with the appropriate inlet to match the midpipe.

I have Micron CF cans on my VTR, my Suzuki SV has a Yosh can on it. I think the Yosh sounds MUCH better than the Micron
