Exaust Question

So im looking into getting some high mount jardine cans. my question is this, does the bike need to be re jetted after installing them. I want to get it re jetted but not right away (yes I know I should, but Ive owned bikes that ran fine with aftermarket pipes, and others that haven't), the only place around that does dyno tuning is a fairly good trip away, and its too frigging cold for that out but I would still like to the get new pipes

I can't tell you about jardines, but I have staintunes and haven't rejetted yet. It runs very good, just a little lean. I know it can be better, but it isn't a must do ASAP thing.

I actually did a search and couldn't specifically find if you needed a re-jet with the jardines. Which is why I was asking specifically about the jardines. Its a hour+ trip to get to the only place around that does dyno tuning, and about 40 outside. like i said i would like to get new pipes. If i need a re-jet, ill just wait on getting them

I'm pretty sure the short answer is NO, you won't need to re-jet in the short term. lol

Swapping slip-ons w/stock exhaust doesn't change enough to severely effect your stock VTR unless it is already running poorly. You can get them and re-jet later when you find a dyno.

I can personally attest the Jardine high mounts ran fine on my VTR w/ no jet changes. Don't mess w/ the oe air filter thou....

I know about not touching stock airbox/filter, I did read up on super hawks before buying one, only thing that i didn't see was the cct's being shitty, but not a big deal. I figured slip on mufflers wouldn't change anything that drastically, but i did have a bike that had issues with them, which is why I asked
