Ebay find new jardine rt1 exaust CHEEP
#2
I own these and here's the catch. . . The cans are polished AL. The mids are mill finish tubular steel. I had my stock Honda header coated at JetHot and I got this shitty midpipes in between a great looking header and decent cans that I paid $305 shipped back in the day.
We're not just having a bad day the plot thickens.
Trying to avoid down time, I call Jardine in an attempt to buy new mids from them and have them drop shipped to JetHot. Jardine says sure no problem with freight and taxes that's $130 per side - WHAAAA??? JetHot want another $140 for the coating and shipping and it just became the clusterfuck from hell.
So I have to tear the bike down and ship the mids to Alabama and it takes a ******* month of prime time off my calendar. Fitting previously assembled exhaust parts that are now ceramic coated is no parlor dance either.
It's a good kit but your design strategy might not include chrome looking headers, pipes and cans.

Yeah unfortunately I guess they don't chrome plate the midpipes anymore (or just make the damned things out of stainless like everyone else). I bought a used pair off here and the seller had replaced one of the old chrome mids with a newer bare steel replacement from Jardine. He had already ground off the spring loop and rather than pay to get it coated or plated I just wetsanded and polished it and it looks pretty darn close to the other side. Just have to keep up with it (it's steel) but that bike doesn't even get ridden that much.
