compression setting?

My friend let me borrow his compression tester, anyone know wat the compression is suppose to b? Engine completely stock BTW. Just 70k+ miles lol

164 psi @ 350 rpm. Section 8 of the manual (http://www.superhawk996.net/Honda_VT...ice_Manual.pdf), instructions for compression testing start on 8-2.

Well thank you kind sir. I had the manual pdf., but lost it wen my computer crashed an my new laptop refuses to open the link for some reason.

That's awesome-70k miles. So what did your's measure? I was just up in your neck of the woods a couple months ago at the state fire college to renew my certification.

Havent done it yet probly this weekend or if I can get to it b4 work. Just trying to find out in advance. But ill Deffenetly post it up wen i get it.

When you do the compression test make sure you open the throttle all the way to get an accurate reading. It the throttle plates aren't open the motor can't fill itself with air as easily and can skew compression readings....I've made that mistake once.

Don`t forget too that your altitude (ie. atmospheric pressure) will affect your reading also....
