clutch level stiff after crash

So I was rear ended a few weeks ago. My bike was at a full stop and I was struck by a bike behind me at 30ish mph (daydreaming rider).

I was tossed over my handle bars as the rear of my bike was shot up high enough to smash the light bar on the suzuki c80.

The my bike rolls a few inches forward and flops over on its left side.

All in all, a slashed tire, and I broke the clutch lever, bent the clip on, broken turn lights, and snapped the gear shifter toe **** off.

So we get it loaded in the truck and back home.

Problem:

The clutch lever (what is left of it) is VERY stiff. You can still pull it in, but it is really really hard, and I am not sure what could be the cause of this stiffness which has appeared after the accident.

Any ideas?

when the clutch lever broke, it could have also bent the point where it bolts on. if the alignment isn't right, you'd get drag on the part.

It might also be possible that the clutch line was pinched or creased? is it hydraulic or cable?

Oh, from reading, I though you might have been on the c80. Check the hydraulic line from the lever to the slave cylinder to be sure it's ok. Other than that, I'd suspect the point where the lever attaches being out of whack. Have you tried taking the lever off yet?
