"Clack" at idle

So I've been assuming this was a carburetor slide issue for a while since it sounds similar to the carb slide clack I get on deceleration... But at an idle, esp when cold, I get this mega-loud clacking/slapping noise. The lower the rpms, the louder the noise is. Been like this for months. It seems to disappear at around 1400 rpms.

Does this sound like cam chain slap? Or could it be a carburetor problem?

Reason I *really* want to know is lately, the bike is falling apart and it's getting to the point now that I'm losing money fixing it. I've already redone ALL the body work and modified it up, and now my front brakes are going out, my clutch feels like it's beginning to slip, I've got this mystery noise, my forks are completely non-functional making the bike head-shake like mad carving corners.... And if this is a CCT issue, I just can't see adding that to the list of problems that is only growing....

What do you guys think? I love the bike, but honestly riding it is a chore and it's not even enjoyable anymore.
