carb gasket sets

Hello,

I'm getting ready to clean my carbs for the first time, and I am about to order the gaskets. From what I can tell, there are two different gasket sets you need - 16010-MBB-640 and 16010-HM7-670, and you need two of each.

Can anyone confirm or correct this please?

Thanks! (and wish me luck...)

Well those are all rubber o rings or gaskets... Normally not replaced unless for cause or loss. My 1998 carbs have been apart several times, and back together with no damage to parts or leaks.. Your results may be different. Those two sets are used yes,, of course there are more o rings and gaskets to be replaced if you find them damaged. If your cleaning due to rough running, storage, ect. I highly suggest replacing the pilot and main jets. The time it takes to clean them properly, and the likely hood that they will be damaged in the process (if you use anything but chemicals and compressed air) make it a wash in my book to do anything but toss um and replace for just a few $$..
